March Madness
Ok people, if you love basketball the way that I do, then you were definitely watching the NCAA tournament games that started last week and went into the weekend. There really isn’t any specific reason for this post except to share my enthusiasm and excitement for the greatest time of the year for a true basketball fan. I mean, someone tell me what is better than two whole solid days of basketball, game after game all day and all night, personally it’s pure bliss for me. Although this year I didn’t really agree with the play in games. I feel that no team should be exempt from playing in the first round and laying it all out on the line. I know, the more teams and games, the more money for the NCAA but 64 teams isn’t enough?
The only down side to this wonderful time of the year is that I have yet to win an NCAA bracket contest. As a true basketball fan I have spent countless hours watching games and looking at articles but I can’t seem to get over the hump. How many of you have participated in the NCAA pool at work only to lose to someone that knows absolutely nothing about college basketball? So far, the upsets in this year’s tournament have been exciting and disappointing at the same time. But never the less, it’s still a great time and I wish that it would never end. I started out with Kansas as my favorite but who can deny the heart and scrappiness of VCU? This team has taken on the personality of their Coach Shaka Smart. Indeed, this is college basketball at its greatest. I welcome all comments and suggestions! Don’t be shy!
