The NBA eastern conference race is turning out to be quit a show.
The 3 way battle between the Bulls, Celtics, and Heat could come down to the wire. I personally think that the Bulls will stay on top thanks to the great play of Derrick Rose. The bulls definitely seem to be clicking on all cylinders.
The Celtics and the Heat are both playing equally well as expected. Anytime you have teams with as many veterans as both of these teams have, they will always be right in the mix for a top playoff seed. The Magic are 6 games off the top spot in 4th place. Seems to me that they are in limbo. They seem to be doing just enough to keep home court advantage in the first round because they are definitely not under any pressure from the fifth place team.
Speaking of the fifth place team the (Hawks). The birds are shooting themselves down with their inconsistant play. They had a lot of guys complaining about money last summer, would it be wrong for ownership to complain about bad play?
The Sixers are in the 6th spot right behind the Hawks and personally I think that they have a chance to catch them and steal that spot. The Sixers don't really have any superstars but they are playing well together and they are hungry for a playoff birth.
The Knicks and Pacers round out the 7th and 8th spots in that order. With all the madness about Melo coming to the Knicks, shouldn't they be doing just a little bit better? Honestly, Melo is not my most favorite of NBA players but I have to respect his talent. But, the arguement I always make about him is, "
Pacers, I wish you all the best but the only reason you will get the 8th seed is that the rest of the teams in the east are that much worse that you all. Sorry! Comments and Suggestions welcome!!!
